Quiet games for when everything is loud

Quiet games for when everything is loud

Not every game needs to challenge you. Some days you just want to tap something gentle and let your shoulders drop. That's a real genre now, and mobile is the perfect home for it.

Lanterns of the Hollow is the one I keep reaching for. It's a slow point-and-tap adventure with no timers, no failure states, and a forest that reacts softly to everything you touch. It asks for your attention, not your adrenaline.

Paper Kingdoms scratches a different itch. It's a management sim, but a cozy one, where the worst thing that happens is your paper villagers get a bit grumpy. You check in, make a few calls, and leave feeling tidy.

The common thread is respect. These games don't bombard you with pop-ups or guilt you into coming back. They're there when you want them and quiet when you don't. We need more of that.
