Simulation
Paper Kingdoms
★★★★☆ 4.2
Paper Kingdoms is a management sim with a papercraft art style that makes even a bad harvest feel charming. You balance food, happiness, and construction for a tiny folded nation, reading little event cards and deciding how to respond.
It's slow by design. Days tick by while you're away, so you check in, make a few decisions, and set things running again. That rhythm suits a phone perfectly and never nagged me with notifications.
The depth sneaks up on you. Early on it feels simple, but soon you're juggling trade routes and seasonal festivals and genuinely caring whether the paper villagers have enough firewood. A lovely low-stress game.
